The policy for the anchoring of visiting yachts is as follows:
- Visiting yachts may only drop anchor if there are insufficient marinas or swing moorings to accommodate them.
- They should anchor within the FBYC allocated area.
- The anchoring period is restricted to four days.
- The anchored vessel should be manned at all times and should be ready to get under way quickly if the anchor drags or weather deteriorates.
- Any visiting vessel should be made aware and warned of the weather conditions within Simon’s Bay.
- Anchored vessels should not foul the turning area for the naval vessels on the outer quay.
- Visiting yachts moored within the FBYC allocated water fall under the jurisdiction of the club and should therefore adhere to their rules and regulations.
- The Naval Harbour Master should be informed by FBYC of the arrival and departure of all foreign yachts.
