Medium Distance Race and Dinghy Longhaul

E-mail Print PDF

Over this coming long weekend (27th to 29th April), FBYC and DYC (WC) will host a large fleet of dinghies, competing in the Simon's Town Dinghy Points Series # 6. This event is run by a team of volunteers from both clubs plus ZVYC, the official organisers. The weather looks great for an excellent regatta and the sight from the shore or sea will be spectacular.

For Sunday, the plans are for a medium distance race for our keelboats, combined with a longhaul for the dinghies. This will allow for the keelboats to "babysit" the dinghies, that is if they can keep up with the dinghies. The time for this is planned for Sunday at 10:00 for the dinghies and 10:15 for the keelboats.
